Here's the issue, I wanted gunmetal shiny rims on it. I wanted to achieve it by putting chrome paint first and them some gunmetal paint over it. Sadly, the gunmetal paint just swallows the chrome and I'm left with a gunmetal paint that doesn't look shiny at all on the left side and silverish chrome one on the right side. Any tips on how to get it oppo?

I updated the post. It was supposed to be a shiny gunmetal paint. I have failed....

Smug Miata man thinking gunmetal and shiny can coexist without clear coat.

I'm trying to get a chrome type of shine. Not a wet kind of shine. Hater.

Plastic dip.

Hell no. How can you even acheive that with plastidip?

My mind doesn't work right now. That's what I meant :)

no needs for primer, peel off ability, a matte finish and cheap cost.

I don't want a matte finish. I tried plastidip once. Never again.

When I find out how to edit gifs that Miata is going to be rammed by a bro truck.

I feel like that'd be hilarious.

You're not going to get the results with normal paint, sadly. However, with plastidip you could (using metalizer) and then clear coat them.

I found another way. Duplicolor's Shadow Chrome kit. But it's B/O for the moment.

If you had your wheels anodised, they'll come out right.
P.S. I replied to your other comment.

I told you...if I would had done that, I would have strip everthing again. I didn't want that + the cost and lot of stuff. I found the right product tho. It's Duplicolor Shadow kit. It's exactly what I was looking for!
